Pastor Charles was born in Houston, TX. He attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where he graduated in 1984 with a degree in Spanish. Having originally intended to teach Spanish at the college level, Charles set his sights on law school midway through his undergraduate studies at U.K. He graduated from the College of Law at U.K. in 1987. Charles was converted to Christ during his university studies, largely through the evangelical preaching he began hearing at a downtown church in Lexington. Charles completed his seminary studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, by earning his Master of Divinity in 1995. Pastor Charles has shepherded 3 other congregations during his 22-year ministry: Christ Covenant Church in Raleigh, North Carolina; North Oldham Baptist Church in metro Louisville, Kentucky; and the Winnetka Bible Church in metro Chicago. Charles and his wife Eileen have one son, Joshua.

Passionate about God and His people, Jared has been serving in youth ministry since 1996. He has earned Bachelors degrees in Christian Ministries and Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology. Jared is also an AWANA Citation award winner and began serving as Pastor of Student Ministries at Christ Community Church in 2007. He, his wife Melissa and their daughter Quincy reside in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.

Adam Green

Adam grew up serving at Grace Bible Church, an Evangelical Free Church in Arroyo Grande, California. In addition to serving as a music intern at Grace Bible from 2001-2004, he completed his B.A in Music with an emphasis in trumpet performance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2003. In 2006, Adam went on to complete his Master's Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting from Cal Baptist University, Riverside, under the direction of Dr. Gary Bonner. Adam has also served and participated in the Gary Bonner Singers. He and his wife, Kami, were married in August of 2004 and currently live in Rancho Santa Margarita. They have a wonderful Boston Terrier named Yoda, which they love and adore.

Tim Thetford

Born and raised in Southern California, Tim has been serving in Orange County churches for over 20 years. Studying science and music, Tim earned his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Chapman University in 1997. As a worship and ministry leader for youth and adults, Tim developed a passion for God’s word, theology and apologetics. He has taught and ministered as a co-pastor for Rising Tide Church since 2007 and is excited to serve the body at CCCLH and the surrounding community for God’s glory. Tim lives in Lake Forest with his wife Michelle and children, Hannah, Katheryn, and Logan.

Darrin Smith

Darrin is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Westminster Seminary in Escondido, California, with the hopes of serving the Lord as a pastor in the future. He has been a member of CCC since 2007 and began his internship last June where he serves in children’s ministry, deacon ministry and the Bible Academy. Darrin and his wife, Monique, along with their two young kids, Kaylee and Benny, live nearby in Mission Viejo.

With a desire to serve God, Abel started his internship at Christ Community Church in August 2010. Having transferred from Citrus Community College, he now attends Thomas Edison University. Abel looks forward with great anticipation to the unfolding of God's plan for his life and how he might serve the Lord in the future. He currently lives in Glendora, CA and enjoys both teaching and working with youth.
